Yeosu-si operates 'Yeosu Marine School' in order to create jobs in marine tourism and activate marine leisure sports.
Yeosu-si signed up for the service commitment agreement for 'Yeosu Marine School' with Sea Explorers of Korea Jeonnam Dongbu Council and Maritime Rescue & Salvage Association of Korea Jeonnam Dongbu Branch in the morning on the 20th at the control center of city hall. Its operation will start from March in earnest.
The Marine school will carry out the education for acquisition of 'license of water leisure crafts, class II' and 'marine life guard license,' which are the basic license for marine-related qualification.
Yeosu-si will run the Marine School through a total of five sessions with 20 people for one session by events. At this rate, about 200 people will acquire the marine-related license every year. The license acquisitors will take roles in various fields such as marine leisure sports education and experience class or beach water safety management.
Anyone of Yeosu citizens over the age of 19 can apply for license of water leisure crafts after passing the corresponding written test while anyone who can swim can apply for marine life guard license.
Yeosu-si will make best efforts to make Yeosu the number one marine leisure city by creating a marine leisure sports boom through the Yeosu Marine School.
