Global Web Content Creators to Gather in Yeosu, the Mecca of Web Dramas!

Yeosu City (Mayor Jung Gi-Myoung) has announced the official call for entries for the 2nd Yeosu International Web Drama Film Festival. This global celebration brings together web content creators from around the world.


The submission period, which runs through June 30, is open to all domestic and international creators interested in web content creation.

Categories include Web Content, Short-form, and AI-based Creations, with a special category themed around Yeosu to discover fresh and captivating tourism content inspired by the city.

A selection committee will review the submissions, select 60 works, and decide on the final winners in July. The city plans to award a total of KRW 20 million in prize money, along with specially designed trophies symbolizing Yeosu, at the awards ceremony on the festival's final day.

Furthermore, the nominated works will be screened for free during the festival. These screenings are expected to draw international attention to web content and become a key driver of tourism for Yeosu.

The 2nd Yeosu International Web Drama Film Festival will be held from September 10 to 12 at the Yeosu Expo Convention Center. In addition to the opening ceremony, the festival will feature a variety of programs, including candlelight performances, forums, director talks, and red-carpet events, offering a rich and immersive experience for visitors.

A city official stated, "The 2nd Yeosu International Web Drama Film Festival will be a platform where creative freedom, technological innovation, and the romance of Yeosu come together. We invite creators with fresh ideas and imaginative stories to participate and make their mark on this exciting stage."

Meanwhile, the inaugural 'Yeosu International Web Drama Film Festival' was successfully held last year, receiving over 1,300 web content submissions. With expanded award categories this year, the festival anticipates an even more diverse range of entries.
