Teenage pop sensation IU, selected as the Expo honorary ambassador in May, 2010, struck a pose at a photo shoot for Expo promotional material on September 8. She had previously recorded the Expo theme song, Stories Told by the Sea.

The Organizing Committee for Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea said the photos captured joyous festivity of the Expo as global celebration, evoking the Expo’s theme, “the Living Ocean and Coast.”

The photos of IU will be featured on Yeosu Expo promotional posters, pamphlets and brochures, available in English, Chinese and Japanese. The photos will greet visitors at Yeosu Expo 2012 Promotion Center.

The Yeosu Expo posters with IU will be unveiled in early October. Images from the photo shoot and behind-the-scenes video clips capturing the energy of the shoot can be viewed at the Yeosu Expo website (www.expo2012.kr), its blog site (http://blog.daum.net/2012_expo), and on Facebook (www.facebook.com/expo2012yeosu.kr).
