The construction site for Yeosu Expo has gotten a makeover over the past year. Pavilions are now being built over the sea where there were nothing much to see at all, and there are the Floating Stage and an O-shaped water screen built near the shore. About ten pavilions can now be observed, as well. An official from the Organizing Committee for Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea said, “The construction of the Expo site is now 80% complete, and everything is on schedule,” adding, “We are doing our utmost to make sure not only the hardware side but the software side such as exhibition contents and guest services will be complete.” The Organizing Committee is planning to finish the construction work of the site by next February, which will be followed by a two-month trial operation from March and the grand opening on May 12.
