Miss Korea Lee Seong-hye Appointed as Honorary Ambassador for Yeosu Expo

Miss Korea 2011 Winner Lee Seong-hye was named an honorary ambassador for Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea.
The Organizing Committee for Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea announced the news of the appointment on December 5.
The appointment ceremony was held on December 12. Chairman Kang Dong-suk of the Organizing Committee asked her to support and aid Expo promotional activities.
Miss Korea Lee is known for her classic beauty as well as sharp mind. She studied fashion design at Parsons Design School of New York, one of the most renowned design institutions in the world. She is also known to be skilled at ‘O-go-mu (Five Drum Dancing,)’, the traditional dance of Korea.
As the Honorary Ambassador of Yeosu Expo, Lee will participate in various promotional activities, including appearing in a promotional film and attending various events before and during the Expo.
Chairman Kang said, “The appointment of Ms. Lee as the Honorary Ambassador will further raise the profile of the Expo, which is only 5 months away from now.”
Prior to the appointment of Lee, the Korean pop singer, IU, and the Japanese actress, Kuroda Fukumi were appointed as honorary ambassadors, along with Professor Jeong-suk Park, who had been appointed as an international PR ambassador.
