The Organizing Committee for Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea announced on April 9 that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Before Babel Brigade (BBB) Korea to knock down language barriers for visitors from abroad. Chairman Kang Dong-Suk of the Organizing Committee commented, “Providing high-quality language services for participants and visitors from abroad is indispensable to make Yeosu Expo a success, and that is why I have high expectations on BBB Korea.” Composed of the pool of more than 4,000 volunteers fluent in 18 languages, BBB Korea, a corporation established with the aim of facilitating communication and promoting cultural exchanges, has rendered 24/7 interpretation services to visitors from abroad for various organizations including Korea Airports Corporation (KAC).
