Autographed Balls to be Given Away
Korea's soccer hero, Park Ji-sung will shoot a ball in the hopes of a successful Yeosu Expo.
The Organizing Committee for Expo 2012 Yesou Korea announced on Sunday that Park will appear on the Big-O floating stage as a special guest of an ocean show on May 31, taking part in various promotional activities including giving out his autographed soccer balls.
Park will present 10 autographed balls to visitors at the event in appreciation for their visit and to wish for the success of the Yeosu Expo. He will also tour various pavilions to enjoy what the Yeosu Expo has to offer.
Park’s visit is drawing widespread attention, since he promised to pay a visit to the Expo when he was named an honorary ambassador for Expo 2012 Yesou Korea.
Lee Chung-sun, the Director of the General Marketing Department, said that “I thank Park for keeping his promise to visit the Yeosu Expo despite his busy schedule, and I hope a lot of fans will turn out and have a chance to meet him.”
The Organizing Committee appointed Park as an honorary ambassador of the Yeosu Expo last February. During the appointment ceremony, he promised to visit the Expo once the Premier League schedule is over.
