Korean Wave Heats up Yeosu
K-Pop Star Jay Park, 4minute, BEAST will be on a stage
at a K-Pop Concert on June 9 at the Yeosu Expo.
“Korean-wave” stars will show up at the world’s ocean festival, Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea.
The Organizing Committee for Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea announced that a special K-pop concert will be staged on the Big-O floating stage at 7:30 pm on June 9, to celebrate the Yeosu Expo and promote K-pop to the rest of the world.
The concert, co-hosted by Korea Tourism Organization and Visit Korea Committee and sponsored by Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea, will feature famous Korean singers and groups who will heat up the stage, including BEAST, a popular boy band who recently finished their concert tour around Europe, Jay Park, whose recent album has ranked 4th on the Billboard World Tour Chart, a famous girl group 4minute and a newly rising K-pop group BTOB.
The concert is available for admission ticket holders free of charge on a first-come-first-served basis. More information can be found on the Yeosu Expo’s official site (www.expo2012.kr) at the Culture and Academics section.
