Yeosu city is doing its best in preparation to welcome the tourists for the 22th Azalea festival of Youngchwi-san mountain in Yeosu held in for three days from 4th today to 6th..
According to the city, in the whole area of Youngchwi-san mountain, which forms the national's 3rd big Azaleas colony, Azaleas are in full bloom near the summit, and is observed to be accomplishing the climax till this weekend the festival being held.
In accordance with this, the city promotes the establishment of measures such as traffic and parking for the convenience of tourists.
First, the city secures the maximum space for temporary parking to relieve the traffic congestion and carries out the parking control around the venue.
For this, the city sends the 135 people of parking service personnel into the temporary parking place and arrange 90 people of traffic police in the main section.
The parking place for 3,000 people scale has been secured in the five places including Dolgogae, the south gate of GS Caltex, Heunggook-sa temple Joongheung, Sangam area, and Wonsangam.
Shuttle bus to and from the venue in the city is committed. Every 30 minutes from 9:00 am, the 2 buses touring Yeosu City Hall <->Yeocheon station<->Joongheung<->Dolgogae is operated.
In addition, every hour from 9:00 am, a shuttle bus touring Doondeok<->Sangam, <->Dolgogae<->Heunggook-sa temple is operated.
The portable toilets in the temporary parking lot including Dolgogae venue, Bongwoojae, Sangam and Joongheung, is planned to be offered for the convenience of visitors.
