There is a experience program, 'Experience traditional raft' at Yurim beach in Deokchon-ri, Samsan-myeon, Yeosu.

Two traditional rafts will be operated for the visitors who come to see around islands such as Geomun-do island etc. in Samsan-myeon. Experience programs such as fishing and rowing will be operated until August.

In order for tourists to provide special and valuable memories, the Geomun-do traditional raft is very popular for the youth people since it is a good place for them to experience local traditional cultures.

Also, it contributes to improvement of tourism images and promotion of tourism to Samsan-myeon, which have national tourist attractions in Geomun-do island and Baek-do island.

Traditional rafts are called as Teowi, Teowoo, Te, Tebae etc. and known that they used to catch seaweed and fishing Jari fish near the sea coast.

According to the book, "Traditional Han ship and fishing traditions' published by National maritime museum, traditional raft was used around in South sea, Geomun-do island, Chuja-do island and Uleung-do island, etc. Now it is only left in Samsan-myeon and some parts in Jeju-do island.
