Ju Cheolhyeon, the mayor of Yeosu will promote indigenous products of Yeosu in LA Korean Festival and will benchmark facilities of marine tourism.
Ju Cheolhyeon, the mayor of Yeosu will visit USA and promote Yeosu city, where 2012 Yeosu World EXPO was successfully held and 8,000,000 people from all over the world visited.
The Mayor, Ju Cheolhyeon will bench mark the well-developed city for marine tourism and marine facilities for subsequent application of EXPO-facilities after 2012 World EXPO and for the development of international marine-tourism centered city during the visit to USA.
The mayor and 9 members of city council consisting of group visitors are to visit Las Vegas, San Diego and LA from Sept 12th to Sept 20th, for 9 days.
They will visit main authorities neighboring LA Korean Festival to benchmark the international world marine facilities and develop marketing to international market and attract investment from overseas for indigenous products to be sold during the LA Korean Festival.
Also, they will visit main marine facilities such as Port Authority of San Diego and LA Long Beach so that they can listen to the advanced policies of marine tourism.
After that, the visiting party look around the facilities of marine tourism and leisure located in marine sports Coronado Island, Sea World, La Jolla Beach, LA Marina del Rey etc.
The visiting party will participate in "the 8th EXPO of Korean indigenous products and excellent products", which is to be held during the "41th LA Korean Festival", to promote Yeosu's indigenous products.
Also, the visiting party will held a consultation meeting to promote intensively the Yeosu's indigenous products and beautiful tourist attractions.
The visiting party will also participate in the opening ceremony of "Endless Flower", the cartoon exhibition to be held in honor of sex slaves during the Japanese colonial period. After that, they will visit LA city council to build cooperative business relationship between Yeosu city and LA city.
The visiting party will have a meeting with the president and management of World-OKTA. Also the visiting party will meet with korean investors to have a meeting to promote attract investments.
The local press, LA Hankuk-Ilbo, LA Joongang Daily, Radio Seoul and Radio Korea will cover intensively the Yeosu's agricultural and marine products which have global competitiveness.
