'International Academy' to be held to inherit spirit of Yeosu World EXPO

'Yeosu International Academy' is going to be held from Oct 20th to 31st in the seminar room of Yeosu World EXPO in order to inherit spirit of Yeosu World EXPO and develop the EXPO site as a center for maritime education.
In this event, About 60 people such as professionals of marine policy, civil servants related to marine field from developing counties and students are going to participate. They will seek for various development policies and common policies among countries for the issues against human beings regarding the marine and environment.
In the opening ceremony to be held in the grand ballroom of Hotel Embeul on 20th morning, the Mayor Ju Cheolhyeon emphasized on the meaning of successful 2012 Yeosu World EXPO in the congratulatory message. He said "Yeosu declaration and Yeosu project impressed people in the world, it is the reason why we are here now."
The mayor Ju of Yeosu city also mentioned as follows. "As a part of Yeosu project containing the right answers for mutual coexistence of marine, he would like to expect these things to be developed as a eduction center to look for some improvement and capacity to develop marine policies and solutions to the current issues.
Also, the foundation of Yeosu EXPO and Yeosu city are putting their efforts into making developing countries driven marine policies and solutions to current issues through the demonstration project of Yeosu Project so that they can inherit the spirit of 2012 Yeosu World Expo.
Also, the foundation of Yeosu EXPO and Yeosu city established a human network among marine professional human resources and instructors. And these two organizations are conducting projects such as exploration of common policies and various methods of international cooperation.
