34 professional control personnels including policemen are working alternately in the CCTV Integrated Control Center, and are maintaining the safety of citizens through perfect control and real-time control for 24 hours and 365 days.
At 3:32 AM in the last 15th, a suspicious figure was detected to the eye of a control personnel in CCTV Integrated Control Center which was monitoring midnight residential street near Museon Central Church. The scene of trying to pull handles of cars parked in the backside road by two suspects suspected to be car thieves while walking, and entering one passenger car after opening it was captured. By quickly cooperating with the 112 All-Source Situation Room and patrol cars through a resident police officer in the control center, one suspect was caught red-handed on the spot at around 3:45 AM.
In the past early July, a control personnel Min Sun-ok received a letter of appreciation from Yeosu Police Superintendent by contributing to the arrest of three car thieves, and the control center has responded to 986 accidents/incidents after opening in May 2012 such as helping arrest a thief who stole the wallet of a drunken person at Moonsu-dong residential street in late July.
A relevant person in Yeosu said "CCTV Integrated Control Center is definitely doing roles as a safety keeper that takes charge of citizen's safety such as arresting offenders through 24 hour real-time monitoring,'and then added "We will do prior advances to actualize a happy city where citizens are safe through compact controls.'
