Yeosu Maritime Park now has a sculptural piece called ‘Jongpo Night Light World at Yeosu Night Sea’.
The city has installed in Yeosu Maritime Park a sculptural work configured to the billowing waves in the sea off Janggundo Island.
The project for creating Jongpo Night Light World at Yeosu Night Sea proceeded for six months from last December with a total budget of 800 million won. The size of the sculpture is 575㎡ and is made with ETFE (ethylene tetra fluoro ethylene).
The city expects that Jongpo Night Light World at Yeosu Night Sea will create a harmony with the other sculptural piece configured to Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s twelve swords, thus presenting another night view spot in Yeosu Maritime Park.
The sculpture’s name was chosen through a survey with city residents that lasted for two months from last August.
It is our hope that the sculpture of Jongpo Night Light World at Yeosu Night Sea will maximize the beauty of the night view and thereby establish itself as another landmark for the city.
