[Tourism] ‘Looking on flowers on weekend, I go to Yeosu’… Youngcheoi Mountain Azalea Festival
Proximities of Youngcheoi Mountain for 3 days from March 29th.
Various eye catching and enjoyment events such as mountain top music concert, opening ceremony and Woongcheon fringe stage and etc.
The 27th azalea experiencing event will be held Youngcheoi Mountain, Yeosu where is full of pink azalea.
- Yeosu City (Mayor, Kwon Oh-Bong) revealed that the 27th Youngcheoi Mountain azalea experiencing event will be held at the proximities of Youngcheoi Mountain from April 29th till 31st.
The festival starts from mountain sprit ritual for worshipping the safety and wellbeing of citizens and tourists. Various programs are in ready such as azalea flower road poem-picture exhibition, bird house dangling and flower pancake roasting.
The opening ceremony will be held at Dolgogae on April 30th. There will be variety of shows such as city Korean music orchestra performance, opening performance and KBC celebration show.
The mountain top music concert at Bongwoojae, Youngcheoi Mountain will present the admiration and coziness in harmony of beautiful azalea and fresh melody.
The craze of festival will be continued by various programs on April 31st such as performances by invited singers, B-Boy and 7080 dance festival.
Especially, a fringe state will be provided at Woongcheon water park on April 30th.
Various cultural performances will be unfolded at the stage for the citizens not in positions to visit the festival site such as the performance of popular singer, Tae Jin-Ah, saxophone performance and magic show to be sympathized by diversified age levels.
A related city official told, “to have many memories from Youngcheoi Mountain full of spring vitality.”
Youngcheoi Mountain, one of 3 large azalea habitats in Korea, Azalea Festival is a representative spring festival of Yeosu City. Only in last year, 198k tourists visited here.
