The 53rd Turtle Ship Festival in Yeosu City hit the jackpot by achieving the record of 390K visitors.
The people who wish to experience various programs of Turtle Ship Festival in Yeosu City descended upon Lee Soon-shin Plaza and around proximities of ship building yard from Mary 3 till 5.
The traditional and modern culture programs and many experience programs drew attentions of visitors.
Out of these, parade on Tongjaeyoung(Commanding post) road, drone light show and theme zone of ship building yard family drew attention especially.
The signaling event of the festival, the parade on Tongjaeyoung(Commanding post) road enhanced it artistic nature and attention of the spectators by reducing the event area across Seogyo-dong rotary and Lee Soon-shin Plaza.
The spectators amazed at the drone light show performed in Lee Soon-shin Plaza on May 3 and ship building area on May 4 while drone flied through the beautiful night sky of Yeosu.
100 drones on the day showed the meeting of Turtle Ship Festival in Yeosu City and the 4th industrial revolution while it shaped 9 images of Admiral Lee, turtle ship, panel covered roof ship, battling formats shaped in crane's unfolded wings and front planked ships and etc.
The family theme zone made at ship building area were crowded with family group visitors for experience program, busking performance, model lamp, masks, children puppet show, turtle ship drawing and making, youth and teenager festival and etc. Citizens of Yeosu City, Festival Committee, police stations, maritime police and fire police told, "this festival was safe and successful owing to the cooperation and applause from related authorities and volunteers." "The shortcomings will be amended and improved for the Yeosu Turtle Ship Festival to be appointed for the festival recognized by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism beyond the provincial level festival."
