The mayoral pledge of Mayor, Kwon Oh-bong was for nationwide model case with specific implementation plan and budget planning. The Mayor won the prize at '2019 Competition of superb manifesto cases of Korean Local Governments.' Korea Manifesto Center publicly collected on last June the superb electoral pledges for the 7th Korean civil election on 7 fields of local culture activation and urban reproduction from nationwide local governments. The introduction categorized into 3 themes (Youth and Challenge, Romance and Music, History and Reservation) for local culture activation initiatives had good reputation. The theme of 'Heartening Yeosu City in mix of Music, Culture and Festival' challenged to the local culture activation part and won the honored merits of city level. The Mayor said, "I will expedite to run the related projects as the pledges were endorsed nationwide" and "the citizen well-being will lift owing to citizen oriented and development balanced administration." The main slogans are to constitute Open Citizen Petition System and Future Development Committee, early development of Kyung-do and Hwayang districts, establishment of Yeosu City Museum and attraction of Yeosu World Islands Exhibition.
