Promotion of 'Yeosu Island Exhibition' at ‘Korean Some Festival

Yeosu City will advertise '2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition' by attending at 'Korean Some Festival' to be held at the localities of Samhak-do, Mokpo City on the 1st Day of Island. The City will engrave the overview and progresses at the internal and external walls of promotion hall. The promotion effect will be maximized while proclaiming the aspiration for displaying the global bridge museum by completing 11 bridges connecting the islands and main land. The beautiful 'Islands of Yeosu' will be introduced via HD large TV inside the hall. Various tourism contents such as night sea of Yeosu, romance busking and romance bus.
The souvenir fan with text of 'Global islands at single place, 2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition' will be complimented to the visitors to promotion hall. Via event, ticket of U-World Luge Theme Park, Geomun-do Sea Wind Tea and Dolsan Crown Daisy kimchi will be presented. About 50 locals of Samsan-myeon, Hwajung-myeon and Nam-myeon will convey the residents' fever towards island exhibition by attending at 'You-Island-I-Island', 'Island residents' folklore competition' and ceremony.A city official told, "joining to the event is to pre-occupy the island exhibition by propagating the rationale of 2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition, and the basic plan will be established till year-end and will be approved till 2022 for international event by Ministry of Economy and Finance. Yeosu World Island Exhibition will be held for a month at Yeosu World Exhibition Center and localities amid the foreign and Korean visitors of 2.1m in 2016. Yeosu City plans the main events of touring island culture and eco-system, bridges between islands and mainland, international academic symposium and island history museum.
