Yeosu City ranked for the 1st in evaluating the reputation of local governments held by Culture Marketing Research Center. Yeosu City awarded the best prize consecutively 4 years in the 5th Travel I Awards held at Andong City, Gyeongbuk on November 21, 2019. Travel Awards is a representative tourism prize in private sector sponsored by the tourism information platform, Travel I, and tourism information newspaper, Travel Today. The board of evaluation constituted of tourism specialists counted the rank by analyzing the records searched at internal portal and netizens' response to the tourism promotional articles for all organizations with big data. In this evaluation, Yeosu City recorded the highest ranking undisputedly during the tourism peak time of June-August. Yeosu City positioned as a Korean representative maritime tourism resort city by displaying many tourism contents such as tideland twilight experience at Yeoja Bay, Dong-Dong Drum Festival, Yeosu night sea fire flame festival, romance busking and Lee Soon Shin story telling daytime moon tour.
