Yeosu City will 'pay the public handout to the farmers and fishermen early' to overcome covid-19 risk

Yeosu City announced that the city municipality will pay the public handout scheduled to be paid at the first and second half of the year via local agricultural cooperative from April 6 to the farmers, fishermen and small business owners who are suffering from covid-19. The mayor of Yeosu City suggested the needs of the subsidy from last February to Cheollanam-do Administration for the local small business owners in difficulties due to consumption stagnation. The local economy will be vibrant by paying with Yeosu gift card earlier by a month than neighboring cities and guns. The citizens to be subsidized are 9,278 people and the amount is summed to more than 5.5 billion Won. The recipients of the public handout should reside at Yeosu City from December 31, 2018 till today and involve into agriculture and fishery industry as owners of the business.
An official relate to Yeosu City said, 'the subsidy will be paid sequentially by deciding the terms to prevent the spread of covid-19 because many people will hustle to the cooperative in the beginning.' and asked to visit the corresponding cooperative on the designated date after confirming with the local administration.
