Yeosu City announced that 'phone entry-exit control service' at 60 points of public administrative buildings and traditional markets including resident's centers in Eup, Myeon and Dong to arrest the covid-19 spread from 23rd. The 'phone entry-exit control service' is a system to save the calling records such as phone number and time and deleting automatically after 4 weeks when call is made to the informed phone number at the entry to the corresponding place.
In the meantime, the electronic list (QR code) and manual recording were used together, but the electronic method was difficult for the elderly class and 2G phone holders to use. The manual recording has issues of less reliability due to personal information leak, fake recording and avoiding the use of the pen touched by others. The 'phone entry-exit control service' which has the best of both seems to identify the clear traffic line at the occurrences of confirmed cases as it is easy to use with only mobile phone, its accuracy is high and time consumption is short. The city authority will make the best efforts to control the entry and exit by installing the sign boards of guidance on the personal information collection and use at 44 points of public administrative buildings and 16 points at Yeosu Seafood Market and traditional markets.
A manager for information and communication of Yeosu City, Park Han-ok said, "we will keep the safety and settle the discomfort of the visitors through making best efforts', and "we ask the active cooperation from the citizens."
