One of the two issuers previously installed inside Yeosu City Hall moved outside
Yeosu City (Mayor Kwon O-bong) is now working to install more unmanned certificate issuers to beef up its on-request administrative services in the post-corona era.
According to the city, unmanned certificate issuers were newly installed at the offices of National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) and the Korea Workers’ Compensation & Welfare Service (COMWEL) and one of the two machines previously installed inside the city hall was moved outside on the 17th of the month.
With the machines newly installed at the offices of NHIS and COMWEL, which handle affairs related to workers’ compensation insurance and national health insurance among others, the city expects to reduce inconvenience for city residents visiting such agencies and bring great convenience in issuing required certifying documents.
Furthermore, the city has reduced unnecessary vis-à-vis contact by moving one of the two unmanned certificate issuers, previously present at the entrance of the on-request administrative service office in Yeosu City Hall Building 1, outside the building.
Also by installing cooling and heating as well as CCTVs in outdoor booths, the city has created a comfortable environment for city residents and keeps people safe from possible various accidents. The ramps installed to the booth entrance have further increased the convenience for both ordinary people and those on wheelchairs.
A city official said, “By installing unmanned certificate issuers that are appropriate for contact-free on-request administrative services for people at facilities open to the general public, the city has reduced inconveniences for city residents,” and added, “Looking forward, we will work to provide on-request administrative services more satisfactory from the residents’ perspective.”
