Yeosu City, Selected as Excellent Organization from the Evaluation of Local Government Innovation in 2021
The only city selected among cities in Jeollanamdo: receives special subsidy tax financial incentives
Yeosu city reported on the 10th that it was selected as an excellent county and city from the Evaluation of Local Government Innovation in 2021, operated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Yeosu city receives Special Subsidy Tax Financial Incentives for being selected as the only organization among cities in Jeollanamdo.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety selects excellent organizations by evaluating innovative efforts and performance of 243 local governments nationwide (17 metropolitan councils, 226 counties and cities) for the Evaluation of Local Government Innovation.
In this year’s evaluation, the Evaluation Group of Local Government Innovation, composed of experts from the private sector, and the Public Evaluation Group, composed of the general public recruited from public participation, have participated for fair and objective evaluation.
▲Autonomous innovation of organization ▲Inclusive administration ▲Participation and cooperation ▲Trustworthy government ▲Expansion of innovation and delivering the awareness and feeling of innovation to the public – these 5 categories and 14 detailed indexes are selected for evaluation criteria.
Yeosu city is regarded highly in the evaluation based on its achievements such as ▲Yeosu–Suncheon Incident Supporting Project and Urging the Enactment of Special Act regarding it ▲the Expanded Operation of Happy Community Refrigerator ▲the Establishment of Seom-Seom Yeosu (Islands of Yeosu) Health and Welfare Platform Tailored for Yeosu ▲Customized Policy for digitally underprivileged class ▲the Operation of After Hour Pharmacy in Yeosu.
Kwon Ohbong, the mayor of Yeosu said “Yeosu city will discuss and make efforts unceasingly to lead change and innovation continuously,” and “do its best to develop policy that its citizens can feel the actual changes with focused on its citizens.”
