Yeosu City Holds Large MICE Events Consecutively
Yeosu “Accelerates” Strategic Marketing Efforts
Yeosu (Mayor Jung Gi-myeong) marks a strong start from the beginning of the year by successfully attracting large-scale domestic and international MICE events.
On the 13th, Yeosu announced that corporate events and international conference are scheduled for the month, including the 2025 Haesung DS Vision Camp and Joint Development Seminar with Bangkok Medical Department.
About 1,450 people from Haesung DS will be visiting Yeosu by the 27th of the following month across 12 sessions, and Haesung DS is planning a variety of programs, such as communication workshops, tourist area visit, and Yeosu cultural experience.
In addition, about 40 members of Thai medical institution will be staying in Yeosu, from 16th to 21st. They will visit Yeosu Aeyang Hospital and other geriatric hospitals to meet the hospital representatives.
To attract MICE events continuously, Yeosu plans to implement strategic promotional activities, briefing session, exchange meeting, familiarization tours, and international exhibitions participation for academic societies, associations, corporates, and institutions.
A Yeosu official stated, “Yeosu has been putting steady efforts to attract MICE events, and Yeosu will be holding small and large MICE events this year. We also plan to promote Yeosu domestically and internationally to revitalize the local economy.”
Last year, Yeosu held 1,262 MICE events and attracted approximately 420,000 visitors. This resulted in the economic impact estimate of 147.5 billion won.
