Yeosu Introduces Ultra-Precision Bus Information Service
Real-time Bus Location Information from “KakaoMap”
On the 23rd, Yeosu (Mayor Jung Gi-myeong) announced that Yeosu introduced an ultra-precision bus information service that provides real-time city bus location information through “KakaoMap” app.
This service helps users view real-time movements and location of city buses on the map of KakaoMap app. To use the service, users can tap the menu bar on the main screen and enable “Ultra-Precision Bus” feature.
Last year, Yeosu prepared for introducing the service, by completing the Bus Information System (BIS) advancement project and signing an agreement with Kakao Corp.
A Yeosu official stated, “We expect that Ultra-Precision Bus Information Service to greatly enhance convenience for citizens and tourists using public transportation. Since it is important time for Yeosu with upcoming 2026 World Island Exhibition Yeosu Korea, Yeosu plans to focus on expanding public transportation infrastructure.
