Yeosu City (Mayor Jung Gi-Myoung) announced that it will hold the ‘2025 Yeosu Night Sea Fireworks Festival’ on November 8 in the area of Yi Sun-sin Square and the waters off Janggun Island. Celebrating its 10th anniversary since its first event in 2016, this year's festival will feature a fantastic fireworks show set against the beautiful Yeosu night sea.
The festival will be held under the theme ‘Fireworks, Coloring the Night Sea of Yeosu,’ and will feature a variety of programs, including a multimedia fireworks show, a drone light and fireworks show, and stage performances.
In particular, it will showcase watercolor fireworks and the big tree firework display technique for the first time, offering a new experience for visitors.
Starting this year, the city will directly plan and operate the festival, improving viewing conditions by strengthening traffic and safety measures and overhauling the overall operating system.
As large crowds are expected on the day of the event, the city plans to create a safe festival with no casualties by cooperating with relevant agencies to monitor the situation in real-time and deploying numerous safety management personnel.
Additionally, a Citizens' Cooperation Group, composed of residents' autonomous committees and merchant associations from nearby neighborhoods like Jungang-dong and Dongmun-dong, will contribute to the successful operation of the festival by carrying out on-site safety keeper activities and environmental cleanup.
Mayor Jung Gi-Myoung of Yeosu City stated, "The Yeosu Night Sea Fireworks Festival, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is a special festival unique to Yeosu, created together by our citizens and tourists." He added, "We will do our utmost in preparations to ensure that many people can enjoy the festival, where Yeosu's night sea and fireworks harmonize, in a safe and pleasant environment."
