Comprehensive Support System from Youth Independence to Marriage, Childbirth, Parenting, and Senior Welfare
Yeosu City announced that it will fully implement life-cycle-based population policies in response to population decline caused by low birth rates, an aging society, and youth outmigration. The total budget is KRW 439.4 billion, comprising KRW 273.9 billion in national funding, KRW 48.8 billion in provincial funding, and KRW 116.7 billion in municipal funding.
This initiative aims to establish an integrated support system spanning all stages of life—from laying the foundation for youth independence to supporting newlyweds, childbirth, childcare, and middle-aged and senior citizens.

To help young people settle in the region and secure stable employment, the city will provide KRW 11.7 billion. The city will strengthen housing stability and provide a solid foundation for new beginnings through programs such as ▲ 'Young Couple Marriage Congratulatory Grant', ▲ 'Housing Support for Newlyweds with Multiple Children', and ▲ 'Jeonse (Deposit) Loan Interest Support for Newlyweds'.

In addition, pregnant women residing in Yeosu as of the application date are eligible to use the city’s paid public parking lots for free.
