향일암
향일암 주상절리: 향일암은 백악기 안산암질 용암돔이 식으면서 굳은 지형 위에 자리 잡고 있습니다.
절 마당 곳곳에서 거북 등껍질 모양의 다각형 절리와 웅장한 주상절리가 관찰됩니다.
Columnar Joints at Hyangilam Hermitage: Hyangilam Hermitage is situated on a landform created by the cooling and solidification of andesitic lava domes from the Cretaceous period. Throughout the temple grounds, one can observe polygonal joints resembling a turtle’s shell and magnificent columnar joints.
